With a vocal style reminiscent of female singers during the 20s-60s, Judy Clark is an experienced and versatile entertainer. From big band to gospel, smooth jazz to country ballads, blues, folk, and more, her voice and presence are perfect for a variety of settings.
As a recognized lyricist and songwriter, Judy has eight CDs and over 20 songs to her credit. She has been a member of The Harmony Belles, Java & Jive, and other various singing groups and community choirs. She has performed for veterans’ groups, officers’ clubs, senior centers, sporting events, weddings, memorial services, retirement homes, Starbucks, Hospice, restaurants, private parties and talent shows. She was the featured vocalist for a Montana State Mother’s Day Tea and participated at a Star Search competition in Los Angeles, CA.
Judy is also the author of over 15 vocal instruction products that are based on the voice techniques of the late Maestro David Kyle, with whom she studied for six years. She then taught private voice lessons for two years, and from that experience she was inspired to write book/CD sets based on his instruction, which he strongly endorsed. She also published two books on “Speech and Diction”, one for professional speakers and one for people with Parkinson’s.
Locally Judy has performed at the Juan de Fuca Festival, Clallam County Fair, Joyce Daze, Sequim Irrigation Festival, Sequim Lavender Festival, Starbuck’s, Sequim and Port Angeles Art Walks, Port Angeles Senior Center, Port Angeles Community Action Program, Military Officers Association of America, some local restaurants/coffee shops and various other venues.
Judy began her career in music during grade school by studying piano for three years, singing in trios and quartets during high school, later continuing her formal musical education under the tutelage of Maestro Kyle for six years. Now living on the Olympic Peninsula, Judy divides her time between performing primarily solo or duet and also writing and recording music.
